cine to dvd or vhs transfer

I have just bought a cine projector to play back some old films and the intention is to video them. are there any problems with this? or any best method?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The simplest way to do this is to project onto a white matt painted piece of hardboard, put the video camera alongside the projector and get started. Try to use a room where you can cut down on the ambient light. I do possess a device which uses a mirror and small screen but the white hardboard is a better method. Remember to put something into the Mic socket to stop the built in Microphone picking up the projector whirring sound, gets tedious removing it. jim
These guys are right, for the best quality transfer then use paper and not the transfer boxes. The only problem you will get is flickering of the film. the trick is to match the speed of the camera with the speed of the film.
