My Dyson has just blown up. Only had it a year or so!! It has to be fairly compatable with wooden flooring aswell as carpets and light (ish) as my cleaner is quite old.

Any ideas, because as clever as I am, I really have no idea.

dyson have 2 year guarantee on them . mine packed up after a year had to have a new motor . then the switch went had that done 2 times then the hose split had to have new one of them
take it to the dump lol
You probably are still under warranty, you could try getting it repaired/replaced under warranty.

failing that just buy a new one, dyson are probably one of the better manufacturers, maybe you just had a dodgy one.
just get a cylinder one good for wood floors and carpets . i had cheap on from argos about 25 pounds it had great suck on it
Are you sure that big spider that went behind the TV isnt in the motor joe ? lol
if you get a cleaning lady she can bring her own .
You could read some Hardy or listen to some Mozart to get you through this undoubted crisis, but it does seem to me at least that you are just plain thick.

The spider disappeared . It was quite large!!!

The Dyson was purchased in France, so the cost for a replacement will be outweighed by the cost of driving over there, which I detest!!!!

The cleaning lady doesn't drive, she lives done the lane and walks.

Whiffey, why are you being rude?
why do you have to drive there??? dyson customer services in this country will be happy to deal with it
Goodness sake !! I was only trying to start a fight.

The thing about a Dyson is that all the bits always click together, and it always works - apart from yours apparently.

One tip though, they are very poor at sucking up tomato plants.
lol whiffey
I had my dyson serviced about 4 years ago and the guy at the shop said he hated them, they were cack and always falling apart. He told me to go with a dirt devil and the one I have had since then, its not bagless though, has worked like the day I got it out of the box. I think it cost around 90 quid.
You have your vacuum serviced ?
thats nothing, my moms next door neighbour rents his iron
I heard this before about renting items but an iron there 3 at tesco ok not the best. lol
Yes, Mr K! When the suction starts to go I take it to the electrical store guy, I dont know what to call it and he makes it like new.

Believe it or not, I a part of my dishwasher moving it and I have done the same with that. 30 quid to get my hoover up to scratch and 50 quid to have my dishwasher fxed at home.
Not bad I think. He always does it the day I take stuff in or call him too.
the one he rents only looks like its worth 20 quid, its nothing special at all, been renting his iron since I was 15 (im 32 now) they send him a newer model occasionally, but its never anything fancy

Up until recently I rented my washing machine.

For just 14 a month I got a an up to date, green, fully insured machine which was replaced every 12 months.

It can make financial sense to hire.
What is the point of an iron ? Who does any ironing these enlightened days anyway ? I certainly don't. At the back of my shirts it says "Tesco Value Non-Iron" so I don't for fear of invalidating the warranty.

I did 2 large baskets of ironing yesterday, kids uniforms are the major one (those shirts wrinkle in seconds) then the trousers/shirts skirts , they look nicer all ironed and put away

until all clothes become non iron, I will happily iron!, I love ironing!!
Joe for 14 a month which is 168 a year you could by a good washer for that. My washer is used about 3 times a day every day of the year. And for 4 years not had a thing wrong with it never been touched yet and still going strong..It will problay fruck up now lol
