Any MS Word guru's out there? Need help!!

I need to create links within a document and can't remeber how to do it within word. Ideally if you are on the index page of a document and click on lets say the third item on the index, how do I link the document so you automatically get taken to that section of the document?

Highlight the text you want to link.
Right click
Scroll down to "hyperlink"
Insert the address.

Sounds to me like it's bookmarks that you want to create, which are basically hyperlinks but within the same document. If that's the case then you do the following:
- firstly create the bookmark which is the location you want to end up at by putting your cursor at the appropriate place then go to the 'Insert' menu and select 'Bookmark'. Give this an appropriate name so you'll be able to identify it later eg page1. Repeat this for every item on your index.
- now highlight the word that you want as the link eg the first item on your index, go back to the 'insert' menu but this time select 'hyperlink'. Within this make sure the 'link to' section on the left hand side has 'within this document' selected and your earlier created bookmarks should appear in the main window. select the appropriate one and hey presto! Repeat this for each link.
