Are you asking how to do it, or whether anyone can remember how? Sorry I'm not being pedantic, I genuinely wonder what you want to know.
Yes, and it was a very long time ago that I learnt it :-(.

Yes I need to know how to do it again. Cheers everyone
To find percentages (say 15% of 800), move the decimal point two places to the left then multiply by 15, ie. 15% of 800, 800 becomes 8x15=120.

For long division, to divide say 9508 by 22. Write the sum down with the 9508 inside the "divide" symbol. You then say 22 into 9 won't go so I have to include the next digit which makes 22 into 95. By roughly working out in your head you will come up with 4 (22, 44, 66, 88 = 4x22). Write the 4 above the 5 and write 88 below the 95. You then subtract 88 from the 95 which gives you 7. Bring down the next digit which in this case happens to be "0." Start again by dividing "70" by 22. keep going until you have no digits left and a remainder or include a decimal point which can be carried up to your answer on the top of the sum. Sorry, but this is getting more complicated to explain without diagrams and I don't know how to do that!

Strangely, I am really bad at arithmetic but I love maths! In fact, I was so disappointed to find that I was wrong in my understanding that "one hundred" was a real number and "eleventy one" was imaginary! Don't you just hate mathematicians?
