Help with viewing Sky through my video

have bought a Sony Bravia tv but am unable to view Sky through my video. The video plays and i can view Sky on my tv through satellite but cannot view sky on tv when on the video channel. this means I am unable to tape anything off Sky. I can view the analogue channels through my video on the tv. I've swapped around the scarts and aerial cables so many times I don't even know where I started!! all worked fine on my old telly. can any one help please???? thanks in advance

Take all the cables and scarts out and start afresh.
Connect a scart from the OUT of the Sky box to the IN of the VCR. Then connect a Scart from the OUT of the VCR to the TV AV1 Scart Socket. This will let you watch Sky through your VCR (make sure your VCR is on an Ext 1) and then chosing AV1 on your TV you can watch what you can record through the VCR.
Then run a Scart from the Sky box (if you have two outs) direct to the TV - AV2 - this will let you watch the best picture from your Sky box on your AV2.
You can do the same with the Co ax leads. going from out of one into In of the other. Hope this helps.
