Deleting a row of pictures

Can anyone tell me the quickest way of deleting a row of pictures?

I can highlight them individually but I know there must be a quicker way of highlighting the whole row at the control of a button to delete.

Or...........
click and highlight on photo, hold down your 'shift' key and move along, up down using your arrow keys..................and then hit 'delete'.

I can now delete my pics much more quickly now.

or go to File>select all> and delete the whole lot in that folder!!

or if you're selecting all, click one, then release, then ctrl+a
