How much does sky charge you when you move house to put your dish up? Has anyone experience of a long wait between the move and getting re-installed? I was on the Sky website and they have the details of how to do it but no indication of the cost

From memory it was about 50, we had it done recently.

In terms of time it's pretty quick, depends how flexible you are, if there is somebody in during the week it could be just a few days.

good lad, cheers
i would tell them you want to cancel the subscription and when they ask why, tell them you do not want the cost and hassle of moving the dish etc. i know someone who has tried this and got it moved for free. believe me they are getting too much money off you to lose a good customer
Yep... say your moving house and that new house doesn't have a dish fitted, they will offer to fit a new dish for 50,
Say I thought it would be free and that you've been a loyal customer for x years and your not paying that so ask to cancel. they should then put you through to the cancellation dept who will offer the dish for free if you dont cancel and maybe a reduction in subs.
Worked for me.
Just as jocky said. We said after x years we thought it should be free and after a while (well after i had worn them down we got sky+ for 20 in our new place. We got it installed the day we moved in. Try your luck. I think sky is a rip off anyway, everything is repeats but when its not there you miss it.
Yes 50, about a week wait we had. Been customer for X years but not free. And by the way they don't send a 'sky guy' out with a nice van who is polite etc. they pay a local mug in a dirty white van to fit it for you so I would recommend you check his work when he is finished and make sure it works and also hide any valuables away when they turn up because sky really do find people who will do the installation for them for the cheapest price so they can make the most money possible - therefore this reflects the type of person they send and the overall quality of their work. - poor poor - sky must know this is the case but they don't seem to care, it's all about the money isnt it!

When I ordered sky the first time round (from scratch) they sent the nice smart guy, last 3 house moves they send joe bloggs! Hope you get a nice guy x
