Would love to hear from anybody out there aware of recent issues with Whirlpool washing machines - specifically the 'closing off of the water pump' during washes.

Thank you.

Different problem, but I will never have a Whirlpool again after the one I had.

Dreadful noise turned out to be bearing failure. Stripped down and repaired under guarantee, as a whole batch had insufficient grease when manufactured.

However I had real trouble getting through to them with false trails through computer answer devices, all at 0870 prices. Engineers failed to show or contact about problems. Grease got through to some washes.

A few months later the same noises returned.

Repaired again, but when some thing else played up I gave up and replaced it.

Do Not Buy Whirlpool Washing Machines!
This may be tempting fate but...

I've never had a problem with Whirlpool washers, and would recommended them.

that said, everyone's experience is different, and I have friends with horror stories about zanussi, hoover etc.
see, I should've reread that before posting.

recommend.
