Gas Boiler
4 Answers
Have just attempted to put my central heating on for the first time this year. However, nothing seems to be happening. If I advance the timer which normally does the trick again nothing happens.
But I'm still getting hot water out - I thought they were connected?
Any help gratefully received.

The plumber came, and there is usually a big screw in the centre of the pump. He unscrewed it and then screwed it back in which freed everything up and the hot water started flowing. I recon a siezed/jammed pump is the problem.
need to know what type of boiler it is first i.e. a combi boiler or traditional style system with tanks and cylinder in loft or airing cupboard?
in both cases the water and heating operate on seperate circuits so its possible to get one without the other.
could be the diverter valve, thermostat, faulty tme clock.
