I have SKY and terrestrial TV all through the house by means of a distribution box. Is it possible for DVD's to be also played all over the house through the same box or do I need a specific piece of equipment?

Depends how you are set up and how you feed your signal to the distribution box - if you feed direct from Sky box then you can't DVD unless you change the connection. I use the AV outputs on my video to control which output is sent to the distribution box and hence can watch either Sky or the DVD or VHS (AV 1,2 or 3 on the video). I'm sure there are better ways and no doubt they will be posted but for now hope this helps...

I have the SKY coming out of the spare terminal in the rear of the SKY box and into the distribution box in the loft. I also have terrestrial TV ariel also into the same box. I then have all the TV's linked to the rest of the outlets and into the various rooms.
darbo - I think you are trying too hard - there is no link between your DVD and distribution box as your DVD with be scarted direct to the TV. With your setup it just won't work - imho :-)
