Does it work if i cut and paste the html?? hmmm lets see...< FONT COLOR="#FFOOFF" >yay!< /FONT >< BR >< BR >

Oh bum. apparently not. oh well, be back at work again tomorrow and i'll be trying all day! Thanks for all the help hopefully that has worked or i've lost it already!
I won't bother posting an answer, since everyone else has got here before me.
Becks, you are still leaving spaces behind the < and in front off the >s. Close them up and it will work.
For ease, I'd just like to point out that if you just want quick access to simple colours, you don't need to use the HEX codes (like #FFOOFF etc.) for the colours; just use the colour name. For example < font color=blue > or < font color=red > (minus the spaces as ever) etc.
Hope you don't mind but I'd like a go too. Thank You!
BEN!!
well that failed miserably. Where did my red italics and other words go?!
Does it work if i cut and paste the html??

It does if you copy & paste valid html without the spaces inside the tags. < b >this shouldn't work< /b > if you copy and paste it, whereas <b>this might</b>

The basics of html are very simple - good luck

< FONT COLOR="#FFOOFF" >purple< /FONT >< BR >< BR >
