Why can you not have a fridge in a shed

sounds like a load of old pony. So what if they shut down that means they have reached the desired temperature. They also shut down many times a day when they have cooled the contents to the set level

Hippyhoppy, it's simple. As AB allows you to upload .gif files as your avatar you can use animated pictures. Many gifs are animated. Do a search on gifs or animated pictures. When you find one you like, right click on it, on the drop down menu click on 'save picture as', then a window will open up and you can choose where you save the picture to on your computer and what you want to name it. (Make sure that when you name it you add .gif to the end of the name or AB won't let you upload it.) Probably easiest to save it to 'my pictures' or your desktop. So it's easily located.

BTW, I have never had a problem with the fridge or freezer in my shed and they have been there for years.

I suspect that it's not advisable if you live where it gets really cold. If the temperature were to drop to say minus 10 degrees Celcius overnight, then what's in your fridge may well freeze and that wouldn't necessarily be a good thing. Can't think of any other reason why you shouldn't do it.

Nor can I. In fact it will save a few quids on electricity bills, offset by an increase in the cost of use of shoe leather.

if it gets really cold outside, the contents of your fridge will freeze,
so for example: bottles will break or explode... which you might not want...
food will freeze and thaw several times.... and I don't know if that's good
