Sports section??

I'm fairly new here, anyone know why the sports section is pretty well deserted? Just the odd Q about chavball and that's it.

well it once was similar to the other categories, it was good, it wasn't broke, so they fixed it!

Hi I noticed a trivia quiz the other day that asked which football team you support & I think less than 25% did - I can only assume all AB'ers are middle aged women (joking - really joking)

Quoi - I can only assume that the the quiz was actually referring to *American* football which is why few of us actually bother to even look at the quizzes these days ! (not because we are middle aged women but because we can't understand american football !)

Jug was last seen slapping young Quoi around the head, ferociously, with red herring in hand ....lol

As Toureman said, it used to be the same format as the rest of Answerbank and was very lively (more popular than the rest of the site), then they changed to a new format and it went down the toilet.

I haven't been on there for about a year

i remember the good old days when the sports section was fantastic!, everybody on their got on very well and even the one's who pretended to dislike each other would acknowledge each others posts by joining in on the banter!

i was made very welcome on the old SAB when i joined in but most the time i was an observer as the fun was sometimes very tongue in cheek but harmless hilarity!!

then they went and changed it and it died over night.......... and for the life of me i cant understand why they don't revert to the old SAB but as much as we moaned and wasted our breath they are not going to?
