I bought the above from the tv channel because the demo showed how easy it was to record and they would ask would you like to record the rest of the series, great I thought I will record all the Sopranos, but I cant work the controls, I have truly tried to follow the manual but it doesnt work and nothing has popped up on my screen to ask did I want to record, what am I doing wrong ? any advice appreciated for this silver surfer.Happy New year to all

Can't help you with your particular machine but generally the easiest way to set a recording is by using the guide (epg) then highlight the programme using the left right buttons then pressing ok or enter.
There is a forum dedicated to the Thompson PVR here you may find the answer to your problems on there. Good luck.
