Please can someone explain to me how to take a picture from my digital camera & attach it to an email. Does it have to stored on computer first. As you can probably tell, I have not got a clue.

download it from the camera to your computer, store it into my pictures or my documents. then write an email as normal and attach the picture from the folder you stored it in.

download photos from camera to my pictures on computer. Having done this open up my pictures click on pictures you wish to email and down the side you will see email this file click this and your email will open ready for you to send so simple without extra software.
