wireless headphones

I bought a Philips SHC 2000 wireless headphone on Tuesday. I have charged it fully and followed all instructions but can only get sound through one headphone and not the other. As it is meant to be stereo have I done (or not done) something wrong or is the only thing to take it back to the shop?

Is there a jack plug pushed into a socket to get the signal?

Pull it out and push it in again really firmly, so that you hear a positive click.

Thank you for suggestion. I have tried once more but jack plug is firmly in as far as will go though I must admit did not hear definite click as could hear on old wired ones. It will not go any further or make a click however many times I try. Husband will have to take them back. Thanks again.

My wireless headphones are not the same make as yours but each ear has its own volume switch,

If yours are similar, have you got the volume turned right down or the balance right up to one side?

Thanks for reply Ethel. There is only one volume switch on the headphones. My husband has changed them for another set but, although these work on one TV and the audio system (which the others did not) they still do not work on the TV he wants to use them with! So presumably it is the TV connection on that one. It is a 25 year old Mitsubishi which is a lovely TV but they probably have slightly different connections now. They always change everything!

Bet the tv is mono then. You can't get stereo from a mono output.
