e mail addresses

Can you please tell me if I can have a hotmail account as well as my outlook express. I need two e mail addresses from the same computer but I still wish to receive my e mails through outlook. Sorry I might be a novice but I do not understand how I can do this!

Yes, and you can access the hotmail account from outlook express. Click microsoft on the web in the help tag. Unless it has changed, I don't think you can actually download the mails to outlook, just access them (I haven't used my hotmail in ages)

I think it may be the case that if you purchase a hotmail email account, rather than just having the freebie, then you can set up emails to forward into another account. You can't do it with the free version though.

yes by all means set up a hotmail email address. This you will receive through hotmail. You will still receive your other email through outlook express.

As others have indicated, you can have as many email addresses as you like but Hotmail's free service is only accessible through the web not via Outlook Express.

If you want additional (free) accounts that you can access via Outlook Express, the most popular service is GMail:

Some people don't like the way that GMail scans all of your mail, so that it can append advertising material. My own preference is to use Gawab. Instructions on setting up a free Gawab account, for use with Outlook Express, are in paragraph 3, et seq, of my post here:
