how do I fit an electrical switch to a low voltage halogen light system, this is for the kitchen.
The transformer has a mains electrical plug and two cables.
I wish to introduce a switch in the mains electric cable prior to the socket for the transfomer plug. The space is limited and I wish to mount it under the wall unit. (not a switched socket this is too large and obtrusive). I purchased an architrave narrow (light)switch but this only has one outlet cable and two inlet cables. Will this work?
Thanks for your original answer KEV_UK
sounds like a two-way switch. with one terminal at the top and two at the bottom? if so use the top one a nd the bottom right one and this will work one -way for you. (only the live (brown) wire is connected to the switch the blue one passes through the pattress unbroken)
