Why dont mice electrocute themselves when walking on the live train rails?

They are not earthed so electricity doesn't flow through their bodies, in the same way birds can perch on high voltage power lines safely.

If a mouse walked on the live rail and any part of it's body touched the ground (Tail etc), then power would flow to earth and electrocute it.
Some of them probably do, and fly off into the undergrowth.
