I drive a Scania 144L, V8 top line and nearly all the time, the gear box is jumping into high box when low has been selected. We've changed the relays and selector valve, and now we're stuck, any help would be good - Thanks

Bit of a longshot, but on my old Daf 95 it used to take ages to be able to select low range when starting from cold, because the system defaults to high range. The only decent mechanic down my local Daf's said he knew how to cure that. I had a ZF box and in the control valve there was a small piston /pin about 8mm diameter (from memory 10 years ago!!). He rubbed it down with some emery paper for about 5 mins to make it a bit smaller and from then on I had no problem.
Poss dodge valve swicth on the stick?
