In Photoshop CS3, how do you get your brushes and text to be multi-tonal? As in have different colours in them as opposed to just being one block colour.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Don't have CS3 (unfortunately) but in Photoshop Elements you just type your text and select an attractive/appropriate layer style which you simply double-click & there-you -have it!
In PS proper- I think you can create a layer and fill with a gradient and then apply new text and select a blending mode to eg. color dodge which will shine thru the white text. You might want a fairly 'beefy' font at a good point size....
