Soccer, why won't FIFA etal do anything about the girly players?

here's my suggestions:
1) yellow card = 10 in the bin
2) Check incidents of diving/faking injury after the game regardless of what the ref has done and dish out punishments accordingly.
3) Only the captain can talk to the ref.
4) standard dissent, YC as now, foul language red, banned for at least 5 games automatically.
then perhaps they'd get on with the game and stop fannying about.
PS I know this ain't sport but no one will see it over there!

So you think we should have two different lots of rules. One for televised matches, and another for everyone else.
You are calling for Referees to be undermined by having their decisions overturn every week.
The captain may be as badly placed as a referee in seeing an incident. If, for example, a player is elbowed in the face, is unable to complain about that?
If a player curses in Portuguese or Latvian or Egyptian will that be allowed? Will referees have to learn all those languages, or is it only english speaking player you want to ban?

Obviously the bits applied after the game are only for top level games, very much as it is in rugby now. there are no video refs at slaphead old boys v snotsville vets you know.

Quite the opposite, read what I said, action cannot currently be taken because the ref is deemed to have dealt with it. No refs decisions will be over turned, things the ref missed that's all.

The laws of the game already cover that, there is no mechanism for claiming anything, if no one sees it then tough all I'm saying is that the captain should be the avenue of comminucation to the referee. Again see rugby, works well there.

Just general points, it is well known that the current game does not cover every possibility and you expect me to cover, what happens if the players are from planet Gromit type questions".
So you thought the Yellow card idea wasn't too bad then.
Instead of spilitting hairs just for once why don't you notice the general thrust of the question rather than trying your oh so twee, naa naa na na na type observartions?

The Mascherano and Ashley Cole incidents bring the Premier League into disrepute. They are seen all over the world, and more importantly by youngsters who may copy such antics. In Liverpools case, Mascherano, the manager and club were unrepentant, before admitting missconduct when it arrived at the FA. Liverpool have belatedly fined him a couple weeks wages.
What would I do.

I would also encourage ex-premiership players to become referees (if that means paying them silly money, then so be it). Rather than less communication with the referee, I want more. Give them mikes so everyone can hear (as in Rugby). At the moment, some referees have little respect.

I also like the deprivation of revenue bit, they did something similar in the hooliganry days when games had to take place behind closed doors. Managers would soon put their house in order.
I also think though that referess should use the tools available to them. If the refs society all stuck together and started red carding abuse it would soon die down because teams would have to put their own house in order. Some ref's just didn't start out right and now it'd be hard to earn back the respect. The best ref in living memory was probably Collina, now he didn't get any verbal, the players just got on with it! It can be done!

They could always just apply the rules as laid out in Rugby Union... seems you're half way there with your suggestions and I'd agree with all of them.
I'd also add a 3 game ban for players being big girls, and another 3 games for rolling around like a big jesse until a penalty is given and then miraculously getting up and running around.
Players that cry to be sent off immediately, and players with hair bands to be bitch slapped by a burly bloke.

Imagine if every decision in FOOTBALL (not soccer) was correct, how boring would it be?
Leave things the way they are! Gives supporters something to talk about / moan about. I'm a Sunderland supporter and seen a lot of decisions go against us this season but I wouldn't change it!
However, the top 4 seem to get things their own way, would like to see a change there.
