For the smokers.......
23 Answers
As I was walking to work past the smokers huddled like penguins in shop doorways etc, I started to reflect on this ever more shunned significant minority. I just wondered what do you get out of it? Are you just following an addiction? Are you doing it out of defiance? What does smoking do for you? Would you like to give up if you could? As a life long non smoker I suppose I can never really understand but it has always facinated! This is not intended as an anti smoking/health/taxation debate merely a quest to understand.

I used to stand out in the rain to smoke, but thank God I had the sense to pack it in.
Find someone with emphasima breathing oxygen and living in the lounge because he cant climb the stairs.
If you cansee the sense in stopping after that, then you deserve to be left out in the rain

i use to smoke and gave up through choice.i wont start again but feel that people are being dictated to more now than ever and as for standing out side with friends some people are lighting up more outside because the topic of conversation is most of the time more interesting because those people are more relaxed.thats my opinion anyway.thank god i still have the freedom to give my views.by the way my hubby is a smoker and he does not smoke as much now because when we go to the pub i would prefer not to be left in pub on my own.summer time is good though but then non smokers moan about smokers outside.sorry but couldnt resist giving my opinion.
