My boyfriend and I live with his mum and she has a BT Line, I want to get a laptop and wi-fi connection through Carphone warehouse offer ( without AOL Talk). i know you need the phone line for the connection but will this affect her BT telephone bill at all?

no not at all, you pay the broadband bill whe will pay the phone bill, they are totally seperate.
