Is it OK to use these in a 3 branch ceiling light, in just one of the sockets? Can't put all 3 in as it would be too bright I think.
Also, can you use them in a lamp with a timer please?

Yes, providing it is not on a dimmer. Just use the low watt ones if you use all 3,

you can use them in all fittings they fit in (if that makes sense??) ie screw, bayonet etc. They are fine in a timer for a lamp too .... just remember they take a few minutes to warm up and reach their maximum brightness
