my daughter was beaten by her drunken husband.he punched and headbutted her and hurt his 16 year old daughter in the process .he was arrested for abh and is due at magistrates court next week.please tell me he is going to jail.

I very much hope he does, but the reality is that if this is the first time he has been caught (and it wont be the first time he has done it) he will probably get a non-custodial sentence. realisty

thanx he has not been done for his domestic violence before but he did get 6 months for affray 17 years ago

Sady Richard1966 is probably correct and he will get a probation. I hope your daughter and his daughter are somewhere safe where this man can't reach them to harm them again. There's no excuse for domestic violence.

You should contact Womans Aid for advice on behalf of your daughter or the Police who will have every sympathy for her.
