News for you CYM you are also bad at English. Textspeak is not easy for us old 'uns to understand you know! Anyway to the question in hand... I assume you mean square feet to square metres as you are buying carpet?
divide your figure by 3.282 to find the linear metres. Even better. go to a carpet shop and get them to work it out for you. You can just ask for a quote...don't have to actually buy it for you. Be careful though. Carpet generally comes in specific widths and you don't want too many joints. XX
Why not just measure it in metres, and cut out all this conversion malarkey? Yes, I know the carpet comes in imperial widths, but, as bimbo says, the nice man in the carpet shop will do all the nasty maths for you.
