hi....my gas boiler pressure has went right up to about mark 4....now i have water coming out the over flow in my back garden. Is this normal. i have a gas man coming out tmorro but am stil worried. ta

no its certainly not normal but theres no reason to worry either as the boiler should have a host of safety controls built in to shut it down in the event of a malfunction.

i would suggest that you have a problem with the expansion vessel within the boiler and that your service engineer will need to repressurise it.

thank you...the only thing is the water has been pouring out off the over flow for about an hour and a half, were is all this water coming from...
Are you sure the water is from the boiler?

It might be an overflow from a toilet or the loft cold tank.
hope it isn't british gas

hi there...thanx for all your answers...the gas man came today and sorted it all...i put the water pressure to high and its bk to normal again....and to answer the other question, yes it is brittish gas haha x
i was just thinking when i read your reply whether you had left the flling loop slightly open, thats the only reason i can think of for the water flowing out the pressure relief pipework for that long
