eggs as light bulbs
7 Answers
i just applied 240 volts to an egg [piercing the shell with needles] and it lit up for quite a while without seeming to alter its physical state or 'fry' in any other way. previously had tried a gherkin & could attribute the yellow glowing to sodium from the pickling process what is it in an egg that can cause it to light up please also does anyone know anything else commonplace with entertaining visual properties on electrification?

Do you have a microwave? if not go buy one, they are fab! for more microwaving tips watch the talk show "clarkson". best ones so far is lighting your ciggy in the micro and getting a disco from an old cd.
Breathe new lights into christmas lights using a microwave, bung em in for a minit and theyl be glowing like brand new.
