Diamonds are not usually glued in. I would check if you can see tiny claws around where the diamond should be, if so one or more of the claws could be bent, and that really would be a job for a jeweller to put it back. If using glue, you could possibly lose the diamond again, and next time it might be lost for good. I think only a jeweller could give you an answer about special glue. Hope you get if fixed.
Good Luck.
I had to have my ring remade in the end as I lost (and found on 3 separate occassions !! ) stones from it . After the jeweller had fixed it for the third time he advised me to contact my home contents insurers and they paid to have it remade to my amazment . The ring was my husbands grandmothers and was dated Oct 1914 so I thought the ins would say wear and tear but they were happy to pay. Your ins might pay to have stone put back in by jeweller.....just worth a phone call to them.
