I have just bought a Nissan Mistral 4x4, imported from Japan. Unfortunatly the handbook is in japanese & I don't do japanese. There is a button on the dash that has 3 positions Power, A/T & Hold. Can somebody please tell me what these are for & when do I use them. Thank you in advance.

Is it automatic? It could be a control to put the autobox in different modes ie Power (holds on to lower gears longer for acceleration) A/T (Automatic Transmission), or normal auto mode, and Hold to hold the gear it is presently in for hill descents etc.
Power setting is for additional revs before auto gear change takes place (kinda like a sports mode).
Hold is for driving in difficult conditions such as snow (off road best to select P1 or P2 depending on ground conditions - if towing don't forget to disable the overdrive on the gearselector!).
