why do yeast cells die when the concentration of alcohol is increased?

lol! im sure they do but i cant exactly put that on a piece of coursework can i?!
Alcohol is a poison, even to them. Call it pickled in your work -- that would be exactly accurate.

ok, sensible answer time! After a heavy night drinking, you wake up with a hangover. A hangover is partly because the body is dehydrated. Alchohol replaces the water in cells, and thats why they die. (it doesnt kill humans coz the alchohol is not neat .: not strong enough to do such extreme harm).
