Is the 20watt low energy bulb as good as it gets.
I currently have a 150watt bulb in my room and find the 100 watt equivelent just not bright enough. Unless anyone knows of a really good bright low energy bulb.

As a postie, all the free bulbs we have delivered have been a pain in the butt - just when you think you have got rid of them all, another company sends them out.
Trouble is, they have sent out just the weaker ones, and people will probably think they are rubbish. I got mine for the whole house in a BOGOF at Morrisons, and I got the higher wattage ones. I have no complaints about the brightness of them, nor about the money I save in leccy - as I am on a PYAG meter, I noticed the difference straight away.

lol @ "eeek at the 250 watt High Power Energy bulb in one of the above links!!! put that in your living room and you'd know about it! "
I first though it was the equivalent of 250 but that is the LE rating. 1500watt is a lot of umph.
LE bulbs and are a marvelous invention. Some people can not tolerate the light wave length, it gives them a headache - the same as with fluorescent tubes, but that doesn't mean they are rubbish.

The 150 watt lamp has now ceased to be and this year the 100 watt lamp will also go. If you want a brighter low energy lamp then go to an electrical wholesaler and get a 23 watt low energy lamp that is either colour 840 or 640, 840 is natural daylight and 640 is sky white. The 840 lamps are regulaly used in Coop's and are better for your eyes than a normal low energy lamp as they are only warm white....
