Bop-it extreme 2

I have taken my daughter's Bop-it extreme 2 to bits as the spin it part wasn't working. I can't figure whether or not it had a spring on it. Anybody in AB land who's got one can you have a look and let me know pleeeeease?

don't have one but a frriend bought one in the summer and had the same problem, ie - spin stopped working. Maybe this is a common fault that manufacturers know about?
