How can i find out?
16 Answers
Can anyone please help? I have been trying to trace a long lost love who i lost contact with in 2003. I have had no luck finding him at all, and now I've heard that he died in 2007-although there's others still saying hes alive. I've tried tracing him, posting messages etc but come back with nothing. Please does anyone now where or what i can do next

He has family up in liverpool but he used to travel around alot so was never in 1 place for too long thats why im having trouble finding him or anything out. I cant really afford expensive fees for private detectives unfortuantly!!!!
Groovygirl - is it worth it? Even if you managed to find him, if he hasn't tried to find YOU again, or he left without giving you contact details, it might be a huge let-down if you managed to trace him. He could be married by now or anything.
However, if you're determined to do it, then how about the Salvation Army? They're pretty good at finding folk.
Best of luck.

Awww...well I don't know then hun. Could you try his last place of work, to see if he left any details with them...or would someone at his last known address know anything? Did he have friends you could perhaps contact?
I DO understand what you mean hun, and I hope things work out in your favour, but sometimes, the thought of what might've been isn't so good in reality, and I personally think it's never wise to go over old ground twice.
Having said that - you never know until you try! : )

groovy girl. Could you google the electoral roll for Oxford to find his mother's address. You could write saying you are an old friend who would love to get in touch with her son. If he's alive, well and good. If not I don't think his mother would take offence. On the other hand you could try the Registrar for Births, Deaths, and Marriages in Oxford, and enquire if they have a record of your friend's death, as if he has sadly died then it is likely that the death would have been registered in his home town, by his family. At least it would give you closure. Good luck with your search.
