took lid of when it was very hot and laid it down on a plastic bag which melted so its all stuck to the botton does anyone know how to remove this plastic from the bottom have tried heat and wire brush but no joy any help please

I suggest that you will need some kind of solvent to dissolve the plastic bag. Maybe something like ACETONE??
Ask your local Pharmacist/Chemist for suggestions but check that it won't also dissolve your cooker!!

hey wak worked a treat managed to clean in about one and a half hours thanks for your tip

You're welcome, Daneswalk, and if you ever want to remove those self-adhesive labels from a plastic product or container without damaging the product, cover the label with cooking oil and leave for 24 hours.
