Mincing Machine

I have just acquired an old-fashioned manual mincing machine and am not sure how to assemble it. Do I have to attach more than one of the round slotted discs to it and do I need washers ?

Only use one disc at a time. Each disc will have different size holes and the holes determine the size of the mince i.e. smaller the hole = finer the mince.
Assemble as follows: Fit the four prong blade to the spirally bit, then the disc. My one doesn't need washers........good luck.

don't you need two discs? One is held in place by a tag, the other rotates with the handle.
