Spy Cam , how does it work..

I want to set up a spy cam at my workshop I rent, and I want to view at home. (aprox just over 2 miles)
How does it work? Do I log into a certain website to view? Is it recorded?
Any one know more info please.

Do you have an Internet connection at your workshop?
if so there are commercial CCTV bundles that will do what you want, or it can be done for using a PC and a webcam, but it will require a PC at the workshop connected to the camera and the Internet permanently (and a mobile broadband dongle will not do the job)
