my oven has ceased to function ! please help!

Hi everyone , wondered if anyone could help me. Went to turn on my oven and nothing seems to working , the fan won't work and it won't heat up , the light indicated that it is on , but nothing happens at all.

does it have one of those fiddly timers? I once switched mine to "programme only" by accident, and it wouldn't switch on. if a little hand symbol (or something else) has appeared, you may need to fiddle to get it back to manual.

Thankyou so much sara, I had a good fiddle with the timer and it sprung back to life , such a relief , thankyou again !

If it hadn't been this a failed element is the most likely cause. Say �20 plus fitting.

Hi Nataliie. I'm pleased that you've got your cooker working again....can you please tell me what make it is?. the reason I ask is because I have had several problems with our cooker such as 3 new heater elements in 2 years.a fan that sounds as if it will seize up any minute and a ceramic top which melted/pitted and was replaced without argument. It looks to me that nothing is built to last these days
