because my battery became flat i have now lost my radio which needs recoded which i dont have any way of getting it working again  vauxhall astra

If you haven't got the code, you'll have to contact a Vauxhall dealer.

Ewood27 is correct.  Unless you have the code written down the only way you'll get your radio to work again is to call your local Vauxhall dealer - assuming the radio is the original one that came with the car.  For a fee they should then be able to check their records & supply you with the code.  Usually takes a few days & costs about �30.
