I have a water pump that pumps water from an underground deposit, it's the type with a ball on top that has air pressure in it, it clicks on and off and doesn't give a regular flow of water. Could anyone tell me does the ball need more or less pressure in it.? I'd be very grateful for any help.

The air pressure with the tap on and the pump off should be half the cut out pressure setting.
