How can we stop our stairs from creaking?  They are so noisy it's driving us bonkers!!!

The following solution is temporarily , but let me know if it worked. Use 'baby powder.' Yes, Baby Powder.

This tip was found from osh.com website and I credit them.
"Take the squeak out of floors (temporarily) by sprinkling a small amount of baby powder into the crevices along the edges. Squeaky floors are caused by two boards rubbing against each other or by a board rubbing on a subfloor nail. Baby powder decreases friction between the boards."

remove creaking part of stair and repace nails with screws
