Well if you have a bad credit history then you are likely to have problems obtaining further credit, such as loans, credit cards, mortgages etc.
... and if you have a good credit rating you are more likely to have requests for credit approved.

This has beena sked before so it sounds like a homework/coursework question. Which course is it?
Surely basic comon sense will tell you the answer here.
