What sort of barometer is it? Aneroid or mercury column
I'm no expert on barometers but, as they measure atmospheric pressure, I would assume it doesn't need re-setting if it was measuring the correct pressure before it was moved, then it should still measure the correct pressure wherever it it's located.

However, if it isn't measuring the correct pressure now, you need to find out what the atmospheric pressure is - try a local weather forecast website - then adjust the little screw that's usually on the back so your needle is reading the correct pressure.
I would suggest that' if possible' you borrow a barometer from somebody and put the 2 side by side. Then if yours does need adjusting it can be done with confidence
The definition of a "Standard Day" is 59 degrees F at sea level, with a braometric pressure of 29.92 inches of HG. For the time being, you could simply set it at the 29.92 setting and be very close...
Barometric even... obviously something wrong with my keyboard...
