Brickette Maker
3 Answers
I have been given a brickette maker for recycling old newspapers to burn on our fire. I haven't got any instructions but I am having a go at it although I'm not sure that I'm doing it right. Does anyone know how it works?

There really isn't any more to it than that - not sure what else you were expecting.

After a couple of weeks you will probably conclude it is not worth the effort because the paper needs to be dried out properly - otherwise a shed-load of the heat you are creating is wasting in driving off the moisture. The principle works well with wood sawdust because it doesn't have to be wetted and coal dust has been used for donkeys' years pressed together into brickettes.
But newspaper brickette makers is really a solution looking for a suitable problem to solve. Maybe use it for crushing cans instead.
