Freview reset on 30/9/09

This thing keeps flashing up on my tv screen but by the time I find my glasses its gone, Mrs Techno I am not, what exactly will I have to do to reset pls in laymans terms not go to a website that I wont understand being a silver surfer. But help would be appreciated.

Just do a Full Re-Scan of your Freeview Box or TV if it has inbuilt Tuner. Simple Job.

Find the paperwork that came with your freeview box.

It will explain how to do a rescan.

You probably need to press "menu" on your remote control to get the menu on the screen.

What you do after that will vary from one box to another, but it will be something like "auto scan" or scan.

Is this just for freeview boxes, or does it apply to digital tv's too (ie ones not connected to cable or Sky)?

It applies to every terrestial digital receiver, SD. Which means all of them, accept those connected by satellite or cable.
