Dehumidifier

This is a rather odd question, and I have no plans to do it, but I was wondering if you could drink the water from a dehumidifier?

However you need to be aware that airborne contaminents are also in the water. So you should use a water filter first, and boil the water to kill bateria.
There is a device used on the Islands where fresh water is scarce, which dehumidifies the sea breaze, condenses the water, passes it through a 'brita type' filter then a UV steriliser to produce the drinking water required.
(The water required onthe Island for washing etc is a half stage desalination plant, not good enough for drinking...)
