T mobile voice mail

Hi can anyone tell me how to shut this bloody voice mail service of on my phone, i can never answer the call on time before the voicemail kicks in. i have a lgc1200 phone with pay as you go t mobile can't find anything in the instruction book. please help it's driving me nuts!!

If you press 1 you will get the voicemail service. You normally use this to hear messages, but I believe there is a menu there- voicemail settings. If you go into this you may be able to turn voicemail off!
