I have had my Nokia 6300 for some time and , until last weekend, it had been working perfectly.
But now, each time I turn it on, I find that the time and date shown has reset to 9.00a.m.on 1-1-2007 and I have to re-enter the current time and date.

Anyone know what is causing this to happen?

p.s. I feel like I'm starring in my own personal version of Groundhog Day!

Is the battery always charged?
By that I mean is it doing it when the battery goes flat or is it happening everything you turn it on and off even on a full battery?
if it was a pc i would say the onbaord clock battery needed replacing . however i dont think mobile phones come with such batteries , however having said that i dont know if they do. so basicly my responce is useless .

wow think maybe im in that Groundhog Day syndrom to :)
S_C I think they do but I can't really prove this because all my phones look like there were from 1970, if I take the battery out then boom they are dead. On board battery or not these babies are smoked. I'm sure they have something - so ditto, my answer is useless too.
Don't turn it off. Problem sorted.
My Nokia is a different model to yours but you could check to see if yours has the Auto update facility (in SETTINGS) for the time and date. If it has, It would then check and correct itself each time it is switched on.
Just a thought!!!
