Cleaning CD Player

What is the best way to clean the CD part of a CD player, e.g. are those CD cleaning discs any good? Ta Muchly.

You can usually get a CD/DVD cleaning disc from the local Poundshop.
They just consist of a normal disc with two small brushes which clean the lenses of the laser beam. They are as good as anything else ans seem to do the job OK as far as I am concerned.
More expensive ones are just the same as above but contain a tube of liquid cleaner.
